Fanwood stammt wie League Gothic von der empfehlenswerten Webseite «The League of Movable Type». Die Betreiber haben es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, eine Bibliothek qualitativ hochwertiger Schriften nach den Prinzipien von Open Source zu erstellen.

Fanwood, die wir euch heute spendieren, bietet die Schnitte Regular und Italic, Bold und Bold Italic und ist für den Einsatz am Desktop-Rechner und für Buchgestalter gedacht.

Based on work of a famous Czech-American type designer of yesteryear. The package includes roman and italic. The current version is 1.1, which includes a few improvements. It also introduces Fanwood Text roman and italic, which are the same as Fanwood but slightly darker and reduces in contrast; I tailored it to increase readability on my Amazon Kindle 3 e-book reader.
